Universal Human Rights: art. 12

 
Article 12 of the Universal Human Rights states:

"No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his private life, his family, his home or his correspondence, or to attacks on his reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks."

This article is of paramount importance in ensuring the protection of every individual's privacy and personal integrity. It emphasises the fundamental right of every person to live his or her life without undue interference from the state or third parties.
